Mr. Thomas Craig Wheat is the Founder and Managing Owner of Pediatric Home Healthcare, LLC, an exclusively pediatric private duty nursing provider. Pediatric Home Healthcare, LLC. services pediatric patients from birth to 21 years of age and employs only skilled Nurses, LVN’s and RN’s, to care for their patients.
Mr. Wheat oversees the executive team members; as such, he is a part of the coterie responsible for the annual revenue, profitability and overall success and growth of Pediatric Home Healthcare, LLC. He is also a part of the marketing team, responsible for educating hospital administrators, case managers and other referral sources regarding services provided by Pediatric Home Healthcare, LLC. Mr. Wheat serves on the Board of Directors and the Advisory Committee.
Mr. Wheat is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Lone Star – Dallas Chapter, and he serves on the Executive Committee as Member Chairman. In 2016, Mr. Wheat will join the YPO Regional Board as Area Chairman. He is a member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Dallas, and Legacy Forum where he serves as Member Chairman and he is on the Legacy Forum Board of Directors. In 2016, Mr. Wheat will join The Board of Trustees at The ChildCare Group (CCG) with a 3-year appointment.
In 2012, Mr. Wheat was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to the Health and Human Services Commission Council. As a voting member of this council, Mr. Wheat assists the Executive Commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in developing rules and policies for the Commission. The Health and Human Services Commission is a state agency which seeks to provide the leadership and innovation needed to achieve an efficient and effective health and human services system for Texans.
In 2006, Mr. Wheat opened an enterprise called The Connally Group, a printing and promotional product organization. His focus is developing key relationships with small and large organizations throughout the United States. Mr. Wheat is responsible for the sales, pricing, customer service, order fulfillment and overall management of clients and suppliers. He also negotiates rates, payment terms, handles all billing, accounts receivable and company filings.
Mr. Wheat holds a Bachelor’s in Science with an emphasis in Communication Studies, and a Master’s in Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Along with both degrees, Mr. Wheat received a Tennis Scholarship from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
