With twenty years’ experience in the storytelling business, Carrie Brewer Martinez serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of CM Productions, Inc., an award-winning visual content agency she founded in 2000. Carrie and her team are dedicated to intelligent visual storytelling through script-to-screen video and photography services. Clients include television stations, corporations, public entities, small businesses, educational institutions, non-profits, advertising agencies and any group who needs to tell a visual story to persuade, inform or incite action.
On any given day, Carrie might found producing a television pilot, creating radio spots, or directing aerial photography shoots with complex logistics – often from a helicopter. Her work can be seen in countless corporate settings, at the annual Berkshire-Hathaway annual meeting, and nightly on the PBS News Hour, in a commercial spot for BNSF Railway. She and her team have won multiple Telly awards, giving her the honor of membership in the Silver Telly Council. She was also named a 2016 WBE Star by WBENC, representing the Women’s Business Council Southwest.
Prior to starting her company, Carrie traveled the world producing in-flight entertainment for several airlines, including United and US Air. She also worked in the broadcast news consulting industry, serving television stations around the world. Her early career included experience at CBS News and WFAA-TV.
Carrie graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Texas Christian University. She continues to cheer on her beloved Horned Frogs with her family, including her husband, Joe, a fellow alum and wealth manager, and their two young sons.
Her passion for family informs her volunteer work. She served on the board of the Children’s Trust, benefitting Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. She also led volunteers in the renovation of a child-care center within a homeless shelter.
In addition, Carrie is a proud leader of a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise, and dedicated to helping other WBEs. She commits many hours volunteering as a member of the Board of Directors for the Women’s Business Council Southwest and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, serving as the First Vice-Chair for the Forum Marketing Team.
